In 2024, our MainStage students brought the timeless tale of Beauty and the Beast to life at The Norbury Theatre in Droitwich. This spectacular production was the highlight of the year, showcasing the incredible talent, dedication, and professionalism of every single student at The Star Project.
Each of our projects had the opportunity to perform on stage, and every performance was unique and special to the group involved. From the smallest Rising Star to the most experienced Main Project performer, the energy, passion, and commitment shone through at every moment.
On the day of the show, students took part in a full technical rehearsal before stepping onto the stage for their performances. This not only gave them a taste of true theatre professionalism but also demonstrated their focus, adaptability, and resilience. The result was a collection of performances that not only entertained but truly celebrated the journey of each student.
Our production of Beauty and the Beast gave students the chance to dive into some powerful themes:
Inner Beauty – valuing kindness and character over appearance.
Transformation – learning and growing through empathy and love.
Courage – facing challenges with bravery and resilience.
Community – the importance of teamwork, friendship, and belonging.
These timeless lessons not only enriched the show but also gave our students experiences and values that will stay with them long after the curtain closed.
Each year, our Director’s Choice Awards recognise students who have gone above and beyond — not just in performance, but in effort, attitude, and personal growth. For Beauty and The Beast, we celebrated:
