The Star Project provides the best Musical Theatre training for children aged 4-21 years in Worcestershire.
The Star Project is an exciting and energetic place to be for young people.
The Star Project founded in 2008 by local performer Jo Payne has supported thousands of students in their development in the arts and personal confidence.
The Star Project gives the opportunity to attend a weekly stage school, audition for a professional London Agency, perform on The West End, work with top industry professionals, grow in confidence and skill in the arts, join a holiday camp and much more!
The Star Project’s main focus is giving children the opportunity to regularly perform in a professional theatre!
Once you have enrolled your child in one of our projects they will have the opportunity to join rehearsals for the next show!
Winter Show: Rehearsals begin each September for the Winter Show, where children perform with their own age groups and also become backstage crew for the younger group’s performance in January!
This is a great term to also focus on developing and improving technique and the perfect term to be introduced to Musical Theatre for beginners.
The Big Summer Show: Rehearsals begin in February for the whole school Summer show which is performed at a professional theatre in the area in July. This is a larger production, where all schools and age groups come together to form one amazing cast!
Age Groups: The Star Project offers 4 classes. Rising Stars (4-6 years) Juniors (7-9 years) Intermediates (10-12 years) Seniors (13-16 years)
SP YOUNG COMPANY: The chance for 16-21 year old young adults to be part of their own theatre company, decide on their shows, work as a team, organise their event and take a profit share of their show! This is a natural progression from “seniors” and those aspiring to continue on to professional theatre training in the arts.
This gives them a chance to gain a greater understanding of the professional world of theatre and gain amazing experience for their C.V’s. This is a new project for 2019 and we are super excited to launch this.

The Star Project also works in collaboration with Schools, Gyms and other venues to provide tailored programmes to be delivered in their facilities.
