About Street Dance
Street dancing as a style was established in America in the 1970s. It has gained in popularity over recent years and in 2009 a street dance act, Diversity, won the third series of the national TV competition – Britain’s Got Talent. This followed the break-dancing talents of the previous years’ winner.
Pop stars such as Usher and Beyonce have proved great advocates of street dance. The current generation of kids wants to learn to move like them and our classes give them this opportunity. It’s great fun and also excellent for improving stamina and fitness levels.
