Kerry Ellis is one of the UK’s most talented West End leading ladies ever!

Kerry Ellis isan English actress and singer who is best known for her work in Musical Theatre and subsequent crossover into music. Kerry trained at Laine Theatre Arts from the age of 16 and is now recognized as the UK’s first leading lady of West End Musicals.

Most famous for being the first UK Elphaba in Wicked. Kerry made her first professional stage appearance in 1998 and went on to make her West End debut in the 2001 revival of My Fair Lady as Martine Mcutcheons understudy in the role of Eliza Doolittle

After meeting Queen guitarist Brian May in 2002 and becoming great friends, she landed the role of Meat in the original London cast of We Will Rock You and has subsequently played lead roles in many West End Musicals.

Always admired by our Principal Jo, we invited Kerry to deliver a special Wicked Worshop last Summer! Jo trained at MADD and for 3 years worked with Kerry’s current Musical Director Steve Pritchett. It was a superb day for our students learning from the very best in the business.

The children spent time with Kerry and Musical Director Steve Pritchett learning valuable skills and came away totally inspired.

During Kerry’s visit she agreed to become The Star Project Patron and we are over the moon. Many of our Senior students are soon to follow in her footsteps and begin auditions for Theatre School with the view for a career in the arts.

The opportunity to work exclusively with someone as well respected as Kerry Ellis is what makes SP so special. We want our students to have the greatest opportunities and be inspired by the very best! We to support Kerry and join her on stage in the near future and will always give her tremendous support when he shows come this way!
