All Main Project and Rising Stars students will take part in The Big Theatre Competition.
Students will perform at different times throughout the day, with a full performance schedule being released to parents closer to the event.
Performance times, arrival information and the full schedule will be shared with parents closer to the date.

Our Main Project students will perform THREE pieces:
A musical theatre performance combining acting, singing and performance skills.
An opportunity for our students to showcase their vocal performance skills.
A dramatic performance designed to showcase acting, characterisation and storytelling.
Our Main Project students will have the opportunity to work together across all three disciplines, developing their ability to perform as an ensemble while showcasing their individual strengths.
Our Rising Stars will perform TWO pieces:
A fun and exciting musical theatre performance bringing together acting, singing and performance.
A chance for our youngest performers to showcase their acting, characterisation and storytelling skills.
This is a fantastic opportunity for our Rising Stars to experience performing in a professional theatre environment and to build their confidence on stage.
This isn’t just a performance…
Our students will perform in front of a panel of industry professionals, who will judge the performances.
Our judges will be announced soon!
Each project will have the opportunity to receive awards for their performances, celebrating the hard work, creativity, teamwork and performance skills demonstrated throughout the competition.

For the first time at The Star Project, we are giving students across Main Project and Rising Stars the opportunity to audition for a solo performance at The Big Theatre Competition!
This is your chance to step out on your own, take centre stage and show us exactly what you can do.
Your performance could be:
🎤 Singing
🎬 A Monologue
💃 Dance
🎻 An Instrument
Or anything else that allows you to showcase your talent!
Students wishing to audition should record a video of their proposed performance and send it to:
Our team will watch every audition and select 8 students to perform their solo live on the main stage at The Artrix Theatre during The Big Theatre Competition.
And, of course, our selected soloists will receive an award for their performance!
This is your opportunity to perform on the main stage, showcase something you love and experience the excitement of performing in front of an audience and industry professionals.
We cannot wait to see what our students come up with!

Whether they are performing as part of their project or stepping into the spotlight as one of our soloists, every student will have the opportunity to shine.
The Big Theatre Competition is an exciting milestone in our year – but it is only the beginning.
Following the competition, our focus will move towards developing technique and building each student’s skills across their individual disciplines as we work towards our MainStage performances in July 2027.
We will spend time honing in on each discipline, introducing new techniques and developing the skills students already have.
Developing characterisation, storytelling, stage presence and performance technique.
Building vocal technique, confidence, performance skills and musicality.
Developing technique, movement quality, musicality and performance.
Bringing all of these skills together and developing confident, versatile performers.
The competition gives students the experience of putting their skills into practice.
Afterwards, we will take those skills further.
Our goal is to help every student continue to grow, develop and become a more confident performer as we work towards our MainStage performances in July 2027.
This is going to be a brand-new experience for The Star Project – and we cannot wait to see our students rise to the challenge.
